Watching the Parade

The parade route runs from Union Ave (at Chiswick park) to Route 20 (heading east toward Wayland) to Concord Rd (heading north toward Sudbury Town Center). SEE ROUTE ABOVE

  • The parade starts at 1:00  and usually lasts between 1 – 2 hours
  • The Parade route is approximately 2.5 miles long.
  • The town hall parking lot will be CLOSED to the public, before, during and after the parade

 

Road Closures

Road closures will start at 12:30 PM and will be in effect by 12:45 PM. Anyone traveling through the area between 12:45 PM – 4:00 PM should expect delays. SEE ROUTE WITH ROAD CLOSURES ABOVE

  • Union Ave will be closing at 12:45 
  • Boston Post Road (Route 20) from Nobscot Road to Landham Road
  • Concord Road from Boston Post Road to Plympton Road
  • Route 27 from Water Row to Peakham Road

Sudbury 250

The Sudbury 250 Committee has entered a float in this year’s parade. Participants will include Sudbury 250 logo contest winners Sydney & Robin Merrill, Select Board members Radha Gargeya, Lisa Kouchakdjian and Janie Dretler as well as Town Manager Sheehan. Sudbury 250 tee shirts, baseball caps and other commemorative items can be purchased at the Sudbury Historical Society Museum and Gift Shop, which will be open on July 4.

 

250th Anniversary Garden at Heritage Park

While at the parade, be sure to visit the beautiful new Sudbury 250 Garden at Heritage Park in town center. Planted in commemoration of 250th Anniversary of the American Revolution, the garden is located at 299 Old Sudbury Road. Thank you to the Sudbury Garden Club for design and installation of this special project.
